TriCoder Portable Data Collection Bar Code Readers

The TriCoder™ inventory collection, portable bar code reader is battery operated and stores scanned or keyed data in its memory for later batch uploading to a computer. This is the perfect reader for physical inventory, receiving items into stock, remote scanning, and many other applications where portability is an issue.

The TriCoder™ also operates as a dual mode reader and actually performs the function of two different types of bar code readers:

  • A traditional portable "Data Collection" bar code reader

  • A "dumb" fixed reader operating in "Nonportable" mode

This means that the TriCoder is also perfect for POS, Retail, Library environments, or other applications where you need fixed bar code scanning for data input at the computer plus periodic inventory scanning for later batch upload.

• Choose from 2 different tethered barcode scanners that attach to the side of the T54 TriCoder:

  • LZ330 Laser - scan up to 10 " (25cm) away
  • LZ400 Laser - scan up to 18" (38cm) away

• High-Speed laser bar code scan engine is built right into the LT54 TriCoder Portable Reader. The scanner is activated by pushing green button bar below the LCD display. The laser engine scans at 100 scans per second making it possible to read even poorly printed or damaged bar codes easily.

• Typical Scan range is 15" (38cm) away from a 100% EAN code or 10mil Code 39 barcode (range depends on bar code density and type)

• Since the scanner is built-in to the housing, one-handed scanning is easy and the unit is very portable
