This high performance Worth Data laser scanner utilizes a high speed laser scan engine and has the high speed Worth Data WDP bar code decoder built right into the "point-and-shoot" triggered laser gun, so no separate decoder box is needed.

This laser scans 48 times per second until a "good read" occurs, so reading is instantaneous. Data is transmitted to the computer as though it has been keyed.

Bar code types supported include UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN 128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, , Code 128, Codabar, MSI Plessey, GS1 DataBar RSS-14 and RSS Stacked variants, ITF Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, and Code 93. The reader auto discriminates automatically.

This laser features a rugged rubber bumper surrounding the head plus a robust 1.5mm (.060") thick scratch resistent acrylic exit window, and it comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.

The LZ165-USB reads a barcode with a 10 mil (.254mm) narrow bar at 10" (25cm), has a 2 year warranty and is only £155 / €179 including a USB or PC Keyboard Y cable.
