The SLV-USB is a Slot Badge scanner with the decoder built right in and USB output! No more separate decoder box and scanner just to read bar coded cards and badges! This reader connects directly to the USB port of any compatible Windows® PC or Macintosh® and transmits the barcode data as if it had been typed in. This reader is perfect for any applications where a card would be presented, i.e. library, health club, etc...

  SLV-USB Bar Code Slot Badge Reader Details

This high performance Worth Data slot badge scanner has the WDP bar code decoder built right into housing, so no separate decoder box is needed.

Bar code types supported include UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN 128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, MSI Plessey, RSS-14, Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, and Code 93. The bar code must be readable a minimum of 1/2" (12mm) from the bottom of the card or tag.

The SLV-USB can read high density 4 mil (.15mm) bar codes, has a 2 year warranty and is only £130 / €149 including a USB cable!

The infrared light model SLI-USB complete with USB cable is also only £130 / €149. It is used for higher security situations where the bar code needs to be invisible to a human but still readable using the infrared light scanner. The bar code can be printed with infrared absorbing ink and then a second ink, or laminate overtop, passes the infrared light through for easy reading and to hide the bar code from human eyes or duplication by cameras or photocopiers.
